Boned C4d character deformed upon unity import

Hi guys,

Noob here with a quick question. I have followed this tutorial on boning animating and importing a char into unity http://www.vimeo.com/3281152

However when i import this file to unity and add to the scene it deforms the mesh horribly. Animations still work but as the mesh is all screwed up it looks like quato trying to walk down the street.

reboned it and its fine now, except some of my mesh is see through. any ideas?
