Webplayer get time from different server.

Simple question really. Is there any possible way to communicate with a server OTHER than the one the .unity3d file is hosted on? Ideally an NIST standard time server. When the .unity3D file is hosted on a portal server like Kongregate (AKA, no ability to edit PHP information etc).

What I am trying to do is calculate continuous gains even while the player is “offline” by grabbing a standard time, running an internal clock/calender based on the ‘start’ time, saving out the calculated time every couple of seconds, so that when a player closes their browser, then returns to the game later, i can compare the last saved time to the current time, and calculate the gains that would have taken place while offline.

This works great with System.DateTime, but a cheat issue arises when the player can change their system time to gain MASSIVE boosts. The only way I can think of to do this is to grab a standard time from a server somewhere, unless someone knows a different way to do it.

So long as there’s an appropriate crossdomain.xml in place, you can do this with the WWW class.
