Do Unity widgets run on Snow Leopard?

I've seen the Unity blog article warning that Unity web players don't run on Safari on Snow Leopard. Does that also mean Unity widgets won't run on the Snow Leopard dashboard? (I'm guessing they don't, but I'm not running Snow Leopard)

Unity 2.6.1 is out, which fixes web player compatibility with 64 bit Safari on OS X Snow Leopard. Of course, Dashboard Widgets were not affected by this anyway.

Web players do run on Safari on Snow Leopard, but Safari has to be run on 32-bit mode.
Dashboard widgets work as well, even if you're running Snow Leopard on 64 bit mode. I've tested with both an old widget that I had already installed and one just built with Unity 2.6.
