Why isn't the bump map showing?

In 4.5.2, Indie version, I made a bump map texture as the Unity manual says, and it shows nicely on the bumped diffuse material rendering in the inspector, on a sphere. But no 3D bump effect is showing on new primitive objects (cylinder, cube, sphere) with that material. What could possibly be wrong? The tiling seems OK. Older objects with bumps still look OK.

Got it now. MagicoCreator and Eric5h5 were right; it was just necessary to move a light closer so that it had a stronger effect, especially in the outside instance. Thank you, folks. 29292-mantralit.png
