Can the Unity PSM build work in a VM?

I have a quite beefy MacBook Pro and I am wondering if the PSM build of Unity will happily run inside of a VM. I intend to only use the VM in order to build the game and deploy it to my Vita, not for actually developing the game.

The only requirement I don’t meet (from https://psm.playstation.net/static/general/all/en/sdk_assets.html) is the CPU speed (I have 2.3GHz i7, required is 3GHz). I don’t know how much of a problem this will be.

Has anyone tried running Unity inside a VM?

Update: After a little test, I found out that VirtualBox with Windows 7 might not do. Unity crashed when trying to start the graphics. I will retry by installing the experimental Direct3D drivers of Virtual Box. If this doesn’t work, I guess the only solution would be BootCamp.

Update 2: Even with the experimental Direct3D drivers, Unity refuses to boot up. -_-

I personally use the PSM Unity on Parallels 9 on my Macbook without any trouble. (windows 8.1)

The first step would be to get Unity working (or perhaps, any 3D programs? maybe some drivers just need installing?)

There are people on the forums using VirtualBox with PSM I think (They had some trouble, but I think they were resolved), but they certainly had Unity working
