Importing Blender Models With Materials

I know this question has been answered many times but I can’t get it to work. If someone could show me the steps that would be fantastic. What I did was I made the model, applied the Material, UV mapped it, UV unwrapped it, exported an .fbx, dragged it into assets, then I thought it was supposed to make a material folder but it didn’t. I also didn’t have the materials in the assets so I’m not sure what I supposed to do.

PS I know very little about how to use blender.

put your 3D model and uv image in same folder then in unity select your object and put that
uv image in material slot.
