Licensing Unity Pro duration

Hi,

I would like to know if the license for Unity Pro is for 1 year or how it works... because in the EULA nor in the faqs it is said.

Thanks in advance

There is no time limit. Upgrading to next major version jump is not for free.

Sorry, but i was trying to find some official statement, though your answer help me.

What do you mean with manyor version? Unity 4.0? or unity 3.4?

a Major version is usually defined as the one to the left of the decimal point. so from 2.0 to 3.0, to 4.0, etc. In other words, you purchase Unity 2.x, or 3.x, or 4.x, and any updates within that are free, but from 2.x to 3.x is a separate purchase, as will be 3.x to 4.x. Note that this is different for educational licenses - this is typically a 1-year license, but prices are adjusted (for multiple reasons..)
