I created a creature using some simple polygons in Maya. I also added an animation. When I import into Unity's Assets, the item reverts to its original spherical shape without any of my adjustments. Any suggestions re: transferring it into Unity without losing its shape?
The modular construction was necessary
because morphing -- an animation
process that allows seamless
transitioning between different
polygonal models -- wasn't supported
by the underlying graphics engine, and
it was too risky to add it while the
game was in production.
I'm not sure if you are using blend shapes as Jessy suggested above, you may be talking about geometry shapes. If so you may want to make sure those are first converted to Polygons in Maya before exporting.
