Should've googled it first. This wikipedia page explains it well enough:

How can you know that for someone else? Also, should've, not "should of".

Jessy, what he said was fine... It made sense to you, and me, and most anyone who knows the english language... And the point being, is, a simple google search would have sufficed... It's not like a Unity only thing...

@Jessy: My bad, my english is a wee bit rusty. For your second point, cubemaps have existed for quite a while and a google search will yield a great deal of equally good results. My impression was that "answers" is designed to help people solve more or less difficult Unity related problems and not something that can be found in 5 seconds.

I actually think that article is garbage; a topic like this requires text to accompany images or video, not just a wall of text with a single, terrible image. Seriously, look at the result in the lower-right, and tell me how that looks useful, as an explanation to a neophyte. All of those shapes are right next to the box, and yet the yellow and green shapes look much farther away, if we are to assume the cube is a specular reflector. That said, this question is also garbage, because there's an answer to be had, which, while not extremely revealing, can indeed be found within 5 seconds...

...and lead to a better question that this junk above. I'll post that link as an answer, and give this question a thumbs down. I'm not suggesting that your link wasn't a reasonable "answer", and I agree about the "should've googled it first". All I'm saying is that you can not assume that something that explains something well for you, will do the same for anyone else.
