Will the PC version of Unity run under Windows virtualization for the Mac?

Our team uses Unity on the PC. One of our team members is using a Macbook Pro with an Intel Core i7 processor. He is running the Parallels virtualized PC environment for running Windows applications. Will the Unity editor work for him? We are running into problems during installation and registration, never mind running the editor itself.

This is for Unity 2.6.1.

Any reason not to just run it natively? The projects are compatible.

I considered that, but the pipeline we use to move data into Unity is all PC-based. I considered running Unity outside the virtualization and the pipeline inside, but wanted to keep everything as consistent as possible with the rest of the time. Good suggestion though.

Answer: Yes

Turns out the machine had gotten into a funny state, which was cured by rebooting. I can confirm that Unity PC does indeed run on the Macbook Pro Intel i7 using Windows virtualization. Happy day :-)
