building an ipod game

this may seem like a rather silly question, but do i really need a mac to develop ipod/iphone games or can i build them on a windows based pc? i have not found a clear answer on this and i really dont want to buy another computer just to make games for 1 platform :/

Well, "developing" games for iOS-based devices may not necessarily mean you'll need a Mac (of course, this hasn't been very likely as of late.. possible, but not likely being done at all).

It's when you build/compile your code that needs the Mac :D You can only run XCode (which is the only thing in this world capable of building your iOS programs) on Mac-based computers.
