i've done some animating in Maya 2010 and have exported my .mb scene to Unity 3 with the newest FBX plugin. For some ungodly reason, when its all put into unity my characters and some animated objects twitch and flail around during the animations, when they're not supposed to...anyone got any idea why this would be happening?

Well... I had similar problems a while back, although most of them attributed to the modeller making a mistake here and there... Perhaps check through the model again? Might be problems with the rig itself...

Andrew: The may be one of two things: I generally avoid using Maya Binary (.mb) files in development because the Maya ASCII (.ma) files are more versatile outside of Maya. You can try doing a "Save As" Maya ASCII in Maya. If that doesn't change anything: Sometimes the FBX plugin is outdated. This is corrected by downloading and installing the most up to date version for your version of Maya. Here is the URL for FBX info in general. Here is the URL for Maya 2010.

Check you fps (frame per second) in Maya. In my experience you need to animate at 30 fps to match Unity which is 30 fps(or at least re-sample to 30 fps before baking). If the animation is re-sampled after key frame backing in Maya or later on in Unity you can get some twitching or extreme twisting of the bones.
