Was wondering if anyone had a fix for water effects crashing mobile platforms. As soon as the level is loaded, the app crash. What is strange is the simple daytime water works perfectly on my Droid Incredible (the first one) but crashes when I run it on my MUCH newer Droid Bionic. I have to turn off refraction AND reflection to get it to run on the Bionic. The big issue I have with this is there are enemies underwater that need to be seen and the FX/water shader doesn't seem to have any transparency unless you have refraction turned on. Is there anyway to get reflection/refraction working on all mobile platforms or am I stuck putting a "graphics" option on the main menu of my game?
I just find it too weird that an older, slower phone would be able to run water refraction and a much newer one would... I am running Unity 3.5 Pro w/ Android Pro but I think you can get simple daytime water effect with any version of Unity. Any help is appreciated :) Thanks!
