While in 3ds max go to save as... and navigate to your Unity Project folder, and save your model/Object (.max) anywhere within the 'Assets' folder. Switch back to Unity and the Model/Object will automatically start to be imported.

Just save your 3d max file as a FBX or save it as an Object but i recommend FBX files, save the file in a folder with all the textures and then open unity and drag the folder in to the Project section. here is a link on how to convert a Obj from 3dmax in to FBX hope it helps: youtube.com/watch?v=KkcAuEZ7Gbk i hope i have helped you solve your problem best of luck :) MCHALO
