How do you play video on a game object a rectangle, for example, so that it acts like a television?

If you have Pro use MovieTexture otherwise just loop through an Array of images a' la Eric like so: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/6976/animate-a-guitexture and here is a very simple script from the Wiki: http://www.unifycommunity.com/wiki/index.php?title=Texture_swap_animator Upvote + removing my own answer as yours is more helpful. Cheers.

Hi. I wrote a script that does just that and more. You can find it in the asset store under the name "Universal Video Texture". With my script you're not limited to just a short video clip. Works perfectly with Unity free, web, iOS and and Android. Here's the link: http://u3d.as/content/royie-kahalany/universal-video-texture/35M Have fun! Royie Stop spaming the Unity Answers. This is no platform for unsolicited advertising, it's meant for helping people solve a certain problem. I will downvote all of your spam as it's not adding any value to Unity Answers

i just voted all his answers up because it's overly harsh to say its spam and give him -26 for it, it's pretty innocently promoting his work for unity community, even if he is abit of a spammer! that said it's abit cheeky of him, it isnt obnoxious.

That's not true. Check out his profile. He just created his account. He only has 4 answers and all 4 are advertisements for his product. No other answers, no intent to help anyone else or ask for help. A clear indication of a spammer who is only interested in free advertisement of a certain product, scam or other scheme.

i know it's abit naughty, i would have just said to him "that's abit annoying kahalany why dont you use a proper account" but i wouldnt say it's abuse, tell a moderator if you think it is.

i can tell you hows its done if you are not using the pro version of unity. but your video must be in broken down down in to images. if you do that name them "my videoImage_0001" and etc, if you can do that let me know and i will give you the code that plays the images
If you could paste the code in the script - not just for me - but for anyone else who has the same question as well that would be great.
