Question(s) are in - i t a l i c Software upgrades are turning points in projects that more than often result in massive loss of time. The only and best way I know to avoid the disasters is to plan ahead. I anticipate potential problems with the new Web player. Due to the proprietary nature of the project I am developing, I am not at liberty to give details. I have 2 players at this point, before upgrade. What I need to know is how can I upgrade to the latest Web player without affecting the current setup? ...provide a way to install side by side (See player 1 and 2 differences below) ...provide a link to the previous Web player ...give clean steps to do/redo/undo the web player installation Example: If I backup my current Web player files info.plist, npUnity3D32.dll, UnityWebPluginAX.ocx in C:\Users\UnityDev\AppData\LocalLow\Unity\WebPlayer\loader, will I be able to copy them back to reinstate the previous Web player level? Are there any registry keys to manipulate as well? anything else? My appreciation. Details I can publish - Note: I did not flag the obvious differences. Env: - Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.16385 - WIN 7 Pro - Unity Editor 2.6.1f3 31223 1 Current Unity Web Player
2 I also have this Player - is it a proprietary version of the Web player, an IPhone emulation?Shows from bluegillsstudios in IE add-ons
Again, thank you.
