My model have a high res texture, 1024x, but when I import it to unity it looks like 128x low res texture. I've tried to google it, but with no luck, and no settings in unity can change the resolution rendering inside the editor. This is a picture showing a bit of the model and showing the problem:

I guess the quality settings of the texture are wrong. Just select the texture and change the resolution in the inspector. If this still doesn't work, you may need to change the quality settings to a higher level. (Edit->Project Settings->Quality) Okay, can you say whats wrong here then:

Found my problem, had wrong settings on my graphic card. But I wonder why it had no impact on 3ds max.

The settings are the place to fix this. Unless you show them to us, we can't tell you what you forgot to change.
