Robot AI Target Causes Game to Crash

Hi everyone I've got a problem with the FPS tutorial, whenever I assign a Target to the AI script the game crashes. I've tried build and run and just through unity they both crash. I'm using a good machine with an i5, 8GB 1600Mhz RAM and a HD 6670 mobility GPU so I'm 100% sure it's not my machine. I've also tried using different computers with AMD HD 7970 3GB and i7's but they still crash. I've tried using different targets and various things but the game still crashes.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I will provide the code for the AI if you would like also.

I just found about it was because I was increasing the scale of the robot. Is it possible to increase the scale of the robot without causing the game to crash? Thanks for any help :)

I'd have to know more about the internal workings of the script to answer that one. I've never done that particular tutorial.

Also, having a high-end machine won't stop things crashing- all it'll do is improve the framerate when it's not crashing.

The problem I have is that the first person controller and teraain is really large but the robot is tiny and increasing his scale cases the game to crash.

Make the terrain and dude smaller, then.

The scale of my first person controller is already at one. Why is it that the first person controller which has a scale of one is so much bigger than the robot which also has a scale of one?

Transform scale doesn't really mean much. Have a look at the import scale on the mesh importer- that gets multiplied by the transform scale. Think of it this way- a 'size 1' elephant is still bigger than a 'size 1' mouse.
