I am trying to find a books or resources that provide short pieces of code for a variety of different 2D game types.
Examples of how to set up a grid; and control, move, calculate win conditions for any game pieces etc..
or specific examples of making a:
Tetris style game
Bejweled style game
Chess style game
Puzzle style game
Hopefully you get the picture of what I am after, I don't won't full copies of a game, just pieces to explain how the did the calculation for various parts.
