Overlapping particle systems, any way to set alpha render order bias?

Hi!

I have explosions, and these explosions have multiple particle systems. Sometimes these particle systems overlap intermittently, which causes flickering which looks really bad.

Is there a way to set some kind of spatial render order bias on objects?

What I really want is for one particle system of the explosion to be drawn over the other, always. The problem with using different shaders with order bias is that.. overlapping explosions will look weird:

CAM  ->     PARTICLES (#3)        PARTICLES(#4)
             PARTICLES (#1)        PARTICLES(#2)

Any ideas?
