Does anyone know any good sites that are free to host your game web player on that are reliable. I realize those two quite often don't go hand in hand but maybe someone here knows of some good places. I currently have my game hosted on http://000webhost.com I figured they would be OK since they were mentioned on the Walker Boys Studio site. But I seem to be having web player issues with them. I keep getting a "Bad File Length" error in the web player, It works fine off line and sometimes it work OK on line but it sure Fracks up a lot... too much to be of any damed good!!

I think you can host your game on Kongregate. I've never tried though. Thanks Bérenger Mantoue I'll check it out :)

I need to find a place to host just the game file, as mine is +50mb, and has not much sound and stuff, its all programming code. The games I make are programming intensive, and have high end models in them. I currently use Dropbox public folder, and have that linked to my website, but if to many people try my game, my Dropbox account gets suspended. I have tried uploading the file to my webpage, but it wont load from my page, being hosted by http://webng.com they give me 350mb space, but don't let any 'file' links as to prevent them from hosting files that are being called for a another web page.

Hi, I also started using 000webhost after some Walker Boys' tutorials !
I have had no problems with uploading any project , but it is worth noting that they have an individual file size limit of 5 MB.
Perhaps your project file is larger ? You may need to pay to host larger files. It's annoying I know, I have been lazy not adding any sound because of this restriction.
Oh heck yeah it's a good 40 MB :)
ok, thx. I shall have to check for myself by upping > 5MB , > 40MB.
On the profile page i have => Disk Usage : 5.97 / 1500.0 MB
in any upload window, there is the message : Restrictions: * The maximum size of one file is 5 MB ; * The FTP transfer mode (ASCII or BINARY) will be automatically determined, based on the filename extension ; * If the destination file already exists, it will be overwritten.
this is all info from the 000webhost 'file manager' portal. I havn't used ftp.
To test your problem , does a project under 5 MB upload ok ?
Don't know about a 5 MB file. but my file FTP's up to the host OK, it shows up as all the file size being there, I use dreamweaver's built in FTP. it all seems to go OK.
40M it's going to take forever to DL for small connexions. Higher than 5m it's too much I think (if someone can confirm that). Some basic rules to decrease the size :
Basically, I'd say the size of the .unity3d is 50% sounds, 40% textures, 10% everything else.
