Still no hardware acceleration in Unity's PhysX?

I know they said it wasn't supported here: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/28788/really-no-hardware-acceleration-for-physx.html

But that was a couple years ago..

Do they still have no option to turn on hardware acceleration?

That's a little disappointing since the last game engine I used could automatically detect whether to use hardware acceleration or not. It didn't even require everyone to intall the PhysX drivers.

It's probably not going to happen, considering that Unity runs on OS other than Windows (Mac OS, Browser, Android, iOS, soon Flash too) and most of this don't support PhysX anyways
