Can you add an animated scene into Unity and let it play?

Hi! I was wondering, before i pointless test it, if you could animate a scene in Maya (example) and then import it in Unity to play as a cutscene. Say i have a character walking, a vase falling and a camera in this scene. Then, i want to import and save this as a new scene in Unity, and recall it to play as a cutscene. Could i do that? Or do i need extra scripts for the animations to play?

PS: By recall i mean use a script to jump to that scene, so that it plays like a cutscene.

Looks like a good idea for a Asset-store product ;) Someone should get on it.
