I have looked at other answers on here but still am struggling.
Think of Limbo, since my game has the same sort of setup. My setup is 2d but has 3d shapes. How do I make the water particles move and flow?

An easy way, would be to make a slightly transparent mesh and put a particle system on it, then you can edit the force on the particle animator to make it move.
