About shader!

I saw build-in shaders document at Transparent Bumped Specular,It's say: One consideration for this shader is that the Base texture's alpha channel defines both the Transparent areas as well as the Specular Map. It's a problem that I want to make a area have 50% transparent and 100% specular(or 0%specular),how to do?
