Model Sitting on top of Capsule Collider

Evening everyone,

I've completed the tutorials and I've imported my first 3dsmax model (an imp) and I'm having issues with the Capsule Collider. I can't seem to figure out why my model feels the need to sit on top of the central axis, even though I've set him up to be fully enclosed (as you would do with human models). Looks fine in scene mode, only happens when I run the game.

To fix the appearance of this issue, I can reduce the radius of the collider to .01 and he walks normally and all of the animations work, however, I figure that may be a problem later when I want to code collusion triggers.

Any ideas on how I can fix this issue?

My Heirarchy: Playercharacter (attached scrips Char Controller & Third Person Movement) - Imp (Animations and Mesh) - Main Camera

Additional Information: I also noticed last night that it is resizing my imp as well, reducing his overall size by about 30% when I click the play button. When I look in scene view, it appears that he imported correctly (size is fine, animations are fine).
