MonoDevelop not showing description of methods etc. with autocomplete?

Hi everybody,

is it normal that MonoDevelop does not show a brief description of the variables and methods available when using autocomplete? I'm talking about all that stuff in the UnityEngine namespace. It works fine with other namespaces. I'm using the newest version of both Unity and MonoDevelop. Sorry if it's a dumb question but I couldn't find anything about this.

Are you using C#?

Yes, I am. Should have mentioned that right away.

Yeah mine does the same, along with all the other computers with Unity that I've used so I'd say it's normal with C#. Come to think of it I've never actually used MonoDevelop with JS. haha

That's odd. It works fine for me!

This happens all-the-frickin-time, sometimes every few minutes! In Unity, select Assets -> Sync Mono Develop Project from your menu and hopefully it will fix your auto-complete.

Thanks but it didn't work. Maybe I'll try to reinstall Unity and MonoDevelop... again.

This did the trick for me, on Mac OS X.
