Disabled colliders picked up by OnTriggerEnter

Hi,

I have a character with several colliders for different parts. For now Im just using one big capsule so he bumps into things. However when he walks into a trigger, all the disabled colliders are picked up. why would this happen if they are all set to collider.enabled = false?
