Chrome Web Store experience anyone?

We had deployed some test games on Chrome web store to test the waters and had good reviews and usage for couple of months. Surprisingly, Google team came back to us today saying “Our game is not browser-based” since it required Unity web player to work!!!

Here’s what Chrome webstore terms and conditions states:
Browser-Based Apps: Chrome Web Store is a market for browser-based apps. This means that apps must solely run in the browser and that apps should be launchable either via Chrome’s launcher or by clicking on a standard URL.

How does this disquality Unity? Has anyone else experienced this?

AFAIK, Google does not want games requiring third party plugins (other then flash, which is bundled with Chrome) on their web store. It seems that they are willing to make exception in some cases, as Tiger Woods online is on there, so it may be worthwhile to talk to them. In the future, this will be taken care of by Unity supporting Google native client, thus allowing games to run in Chrome without the need for a plugin install.
