rigging and animation

I've been using Silo for modeling, which I like. Nice interface, easy to use, and nice price tag.

Now I'm looking for app for rigging and animating. I've used XSI and it was overwhelming, maybe rigging and animation is just that complicated, but it doesn't seem like it should be.

Can anyone recommend a solid tool for this? Again, I'm looking for easy to use and affordable.

Ever use Messiah? I noticed it's on sale for about $200. Like I said, affordable.

Well...rigging and animation is just as much to learn as modeling. Nearly every big 3d application can rig and animate, but you will have to start slow.

There are some dedicated animation software, like Motion Builder, too, but I am experienced nearly exclusively with 3ds Max, so I can't comment on that..
