Coming from Autodesk Maya, do all models importing into Unity have to be in polygons? Or will nurbs and subdiv models work as well? (or does Unity just convert everything to polys anyway)?

Triangles work best. Polygons get converted to them. Not sure what the importer would do with curves, probably nothing.
