Hello, so I'm going to not have internet access for a while, however the pre-production process of my game will still occur. I am going to make an MMO, and I was looking at the programming types supported, unfortunately I don't know much about programming and am wondering what books are out there (electronic or not) that I can use to learn everything about the programming types I will need to use to make an MMO. I know .NET for databases and storage, and XML for storage (I think). I am really sorry for asking the question I did look for it but unfortunately my time is running short before I have to leave, sorry, but I don't have another choice. Thanks in advance.:) PS: The game will be a typical MMO, chat, your own land, customizable character and props, etc. EDIT: Really sorry guys, but I'm running low on time and I really just need some help. I'm not one of those people who just make stuff up to get information. If someone could just help me, I'm really sorry, but I don't have enough time to get the answers. Sorry.

Your first project should not be a MMO.. I know many younger( or just newer)programmers want to make the next World Of Warcraft, Everquest, or other Massively Multiplayer game. But if you don't know much about programming. You need to start small. just my opinion

Start small and make puzzle game. You'll find that it is much much harder than you think, even to make a puzzle game. When you see how things go, after 3 hours you'll say: I should try hard and do my best to make a puzzle game :) and you'll forget about your MMO idea in a second.

a single click on your own tag - mmo - and another on 'most voted' brings up this: http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/10853/can-i-make-a-mmorpg-with-unity.html Copy the pages to your harddrive. This should be sufficient to keep you entertained for your entire down-time. -- Greetz, Ky.
