Scaling a rigged character.

I bought some characters rigged for Unity, they include a bunch of useful animations such as running, etc.
The Unity package includes prefabs which I can just drop into my scene. Unfortunately, they’re too small - I need to scale them up to 3 times their size.

When I change the scale on the import settings, the geometry scales up but the bones stay the same size, therefore the character looks really weird. The package includes the FBX files which scale fine, but the prefabs don’t scale well. The skeleton stays the same and the geometry just bulges out because it’s trying to stay on a tiny skeleton.

Any ideas how to scale my characters in the simplest possible way? Thanks, and may your imagination always run wild!

Try not to scale them in the import settings, but after, when dropped into scene.
