I am trying to make a UI that is semi dynamic. Simply put, I have a backpack that gets equipped and I need the "side inventory" to update with those available slots.
Here's the issue, everything I've tried doesn't seem to do what I'm looking for. I just cannot seem, for the life of me, to wrap my head around unities UI system even after watching the video tutorials.
I need a scrollview for this as well which seems to complicate things.
So, in the scroll view there is the "Content" element that is created by default. Basically as a player equips the backpack or other item, it instantiates a prefab that contains a "label" for the object and then below it I'm trying to have an object with a "Grid Layout" that contains the item slots. That is the dynamic part.
I can't seem to get anything to resize properly based on it's content, using different layout groups, etc.
Basically, if you look at the screenshot. I'm trying to have a label, and the backpacks content laid out in a grid [dynamically]. Then, I want it where I can have multiple Storage Items, so another label with another grid after that.
Any idea's of what I can do to make this work properly. I feel like I've tried every checkbox in the editor but maybe I'm just missing something.
Up to 2 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 524.3 kB each and 1.0 MB total.
