When I attempt to open a .unitypackage file, it displays 'Unable to open database file' and quits. I'm using the newest version of Unity.

Which package are you trying to open specifically? One of the standard/pro packages or a 3rd party package?
Anything at all. Standard assets, something I made myself, Asset Store stuff, everything.
Up to 2 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 524.3 kB each and 1.0 MB total.
