Making pine trees in speedtree

I’m using unity’s speed tree to make a pine tree in unity; however, when making a single branch tree I seems like I can’t control the distribution of branches at all. I’d like to be less branches on the bottom and more on the top. But it just places leaves all over the single branch evenly. Can I control this?

Also I can’t get the branches to point down not matter how I change perpicular, horizontal, or growth angle of the branches. How could I get them pointed downwards.

Make set of branches that angling upwards, then another set off those, they should if set right be 90 degrees off of the first set angling down. To adjust the final angle adjust the upward setting of the first set of branches.

Example;

  1. a set of branches of the trunk; set to frequency 20, distribution: whorled, growth angle 0.70, length 0 to ~0.
  2. a set of branches of the last set of branches, frequency 1, distribution: alternate

This should get you in the right place.
