can't put webplayer game in my website?

hello everybody. Believe me i have tried, i have red the manual. but it instantly flies over my head. also i have searched the forums and unity answers to no avail. firstly i must say i have 0 knowledge about how websites work. so here is what i did. i bought a domain from godaddy. and they have this software/tool called website builder. it lets you put things in your website like image, button, video etc. one of those things is HTML code. when you click on it. you get something like the following.

then i opened my webplayer html file in notepad and copy pasted its contents to the text field, deleting whatever was already there. lo and behold… it didnt work. the following image shows the error when i did this.

could somebody please tell me in layman’s terms how i should go about this?

You need to upload the .unity3d file - that’s the actual game, not the html file.

so for those of you who might have the same problem as me. first of all you can just put your games in sites like New grounds or Kongregate for free. else if you want to put it in your own website, first you buy a domain/website from godaddy or any other. then instead of buying subscription for “website Builder” you have to get the option which allows you to do “web hosting”. then when you have done all the above. you upload the file with .unity3d extension. i have not done these things myself. but thats how you are supposed to do it apparently
